A recent special work. El origen de las ideas.
The Vanitas serie continues with Vanitas VI, this time the artwork is a translucent piece made with spray paint, tinted epoxy resin and wood. One day I want to show the process behind this kind of artworks because it really takes me some weeks to get it done, so many steps and different processes.

A day in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
I just came back from Hilversum, Netherlands where Nike have their European headquarters. They invited me to custom this wood module at the entrance of their new Jackie JK building. I started working at the studio on the idea of having a general artwork that fades from dark to light, featuring different sports that connects through their characters. Following my latest work in Texas I wanted to show the background in the artwork, a nice birch wood and also break the limits of the designated area with some dynamic elements.
Playing around with some wood pieces at the studio I came out with this site specific character. I like the idea of having the characters being oppressed by the physical limits of the support, whether it is a mural, a canvas or a book shelf.
I was recently invited to San Antonio, Texas for a special project. The idea was to paint a large wall at the Hemisfair park in Downtown San Antonio, following this way the steps of the mural artists that enriched this area back in ‘68 when the Hemisfair took place.
CommUNITY is an idea built with four different characters in balance, each one inspired by different values such knowledge, culture, environmental consciousness or education.
Painted under a serious heat but enjoyed to the fullest.
Many thanks to The68 team for the love and support

Thank you Stadt.Wand.Kunst for inviting me to Mannheim, Germany!
It was great to spend some time there painting this wall titled MultiCultural Balance, a message to this diverse area of Mannheim and applicable to many situations all over the World, specially in Europe and USA.
Remarkable organization by Stadt.Wand.Kunst and Montana Cans. Many thanks for the support and the photos!
